Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi is one of the easiest styles of Qigong to learn.  It emphasizes the synchronizing of 18 movements with the breath, in a gentle, beautiful, flowing exercise that is a joy to do and is deeply relaxing.

It is designed to improve general health and well-being of the practitioner.  The gentle rocking motions and stretching movements improve circulation, digestion and reduce mental stress and physical tension in the body.  It can be done at any age or fitness level.  

Any donations we receive from teaching go directly to helping children and seniors in Mexico through a group called The Friends of Bucerias.

Bob and Judy Cochrane have been studying energy work for many years, including yoga, Reiki, tai chi, qigong, meditation, shamanism, with teachers from Thailand, Mexico and Germany. Judy is also a trained coreconnexion dance and transformational arts facilitator and we have both done teacher training in Organic Stretch in Mexico where we spend our winters.

We practice this qigong almost everyday with my 89 year old father and any other family members who are around.  We love it!

Sip of Art

Bring a couple of friends to join in an evening of painting for fun! We will have a liquor licence so you may bring your own choice of beverage (please consider a designated driver). No need to have any artistic background. Margot will guide you through, step by step, how to use the art materials, and to successfully paint your own painting!  Choose one or all! Learn how to lift weights correctly! Create a strong foundation of proper alignment & build strength in your major muscle groups as you progress toward more multi-movement exercises.

Essential Oil Sampling, Scanning & Chair Massage

Saturday October 3 @ 12pm

Find out what oils your body needs the most. Then after your scan, we will provide the oils that benefit you for your chair massage! Scans are free for those who have bought kits.

Discover Your Ripple 30 or 60 Day Yoga Challenge

Yoga can be very therapeutic and yet also offers a great workout, challenging & building balance, cardiovascular endurance & overall strength.

Our bodies are meant for movement. Each yoga posture has a variety of benefits for your body. Whether it is compressing & detoxifying your organs, increasing the mobility of your joints, digging deeper into fascia or building strength to protect you from injury, the residual effect of moving and breathing through intelligently sequenced postures can provide the body & mind with so much healing. The classes offered at the studio give students the variety to stay balanced with their practice, sports & other activities.

Choose Your Yoga Challenge! 

  • Between August 23 - October 31, you choose the 30 or 60 day time frame that suits you 
  • Practice 3-7 times a week on an unlimited challenger pass with access to all classes (except for Yoga for Seniors)
  • There will be prizes at the end of the challenge for those with the highest attendance in both the 30 & 60 day time frame. Prizes are from The Village Creek Country Inn, The Clothing Store, The Village Auto Wash, Halfmoon Yoga Props, essential oils from the studio & more
  • Wrap-up Party with organic wine & tapas on Friday November 6 @ 6:45pm
  • All challengers receive a free small VOSS glass waterbottle for participating
  • We will have a challenger board at the studio so you can mark your progress
  • Before you start the challenge, we need one intention from you (eg. to get stronger, for stress relief, to increase joint mobility...)
