Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is a guided meditation and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 3-4 hours of deep sleep.

There is no wrong or right way to practice Yoga Nidra and it is for anyone and everyone. You simply lie down in a supported savasana and listen to the voice that is guiding you. This form of meditation will allow you to reduce your stress and anxiety. Join us for some pure Nidra bliss!

Lelaña Jensen Bio
Loving Mother/Yogi/Chef/Modo Yoga Studio Manager

My yoga journey began back in 2002. A girlfriend and I signed up for some hatha classes at a local studio. For me at that time it was mostly a social outing to take a break from mom life and connect with my friend.

I rediscovered yoga again after baby number 3 when I began to struggle with constant lower back and hip pain. Yoga provided the physical strength and release that my body was asking for that I couldn’t find with anything else I did.

I finally got convinced at the studio I regularly practiced at to give yin a try; at this time I now had 4 children and craved the deep stretching of my muscles. I was hooked.

Not only did I notice the physical release of yin but it also became a place to be quiet, to create space and peace within which I needed being a busy mom.

I truly fell in love with Yin Yoga and even more when I came to a challenging time in my personal life. It was then that I knew I wanted to become a yoga teacher. I wanted to be able to share this practice. I wanted to help create space and mindfulness as it was provided to me.

I took Yin Level 1 & 2 teacher training with Joe Barnett in 2015.  And continuing to embrace the softer side, I completed Yoga Nidra Levels 1 & 2 at Empowered Yoga and a 25HR  Meditation Teacher Training with Mandy Trapp.

In 2018, I studied with Jo Phee and Joe Barnett in Bali for a month long 200RYT Yin Intensive. In early 2020, I studied again with Jo Phee taking her advanced anatomy fascia module.

I have many passions in life and they all involve living in the moment and cultivating mindfulness.

“Celebration is possible if each moment brings you something new. And change beautifies everything. The soul of existence is change.’-Osho

I can’t wait to share this beautiful soft yoga nidra practice with you!
